Why We Started This

Back in 2019, we noticed something. Runners over 40 weren't getting the right resources. They're fit. They're motivated. But they felt invisible in the running world.

The Gap We Found

Most running programs target either beginners or elite athletes. Nobody was building for the 40-60 crowd — runners who've got life experience, limited time, and specific body needs. We saw the opportunity and decided to fill it.

What We Do Different

furzeway.org LLC doesn't just schedule runs. We're building community. Our couch-to-5K programs respect your starting point. Our half-marathon clubs combine training with real friendship. Parkrun meetups give you low-pressure competition. And our trainer-led interval sessions? They're designed for bodies that know what recovery means.

Growing Together

Today we've got thousands of members across the US. But we haven't changed the core. We're still here because we believe running at 45 looks different than running at 25 — and that's not a limitation, it's actually an advantage.

Our Training Philosophy

We've developed an approach that works. It's practical. It's flexible. And it actually fits into real life.

Progressive Build

Whether you're starting from the couch or coming back after injury, we build incrementally. No jumps. No guessing. Just steady progress you can actually feel.

Real Community

You're not training alone. Our meetups at Parkrun, group runs, and club sessions connect you with people who get it. Accountability that doesn't feel forced.

Smart Training

Our trainer-led interval sessions are designed for mature runners. We focus on efficiency, injury prevention, and building strength where it matters most.

Recovery Matters

We don't treat recovery as optional. Our programs factor in sleep, nutrition, and rest days because that's what actually makes you faster and healthier.

Goal-Focused

Half-marathon? 5K? Just want to run consistently? We've got programs for that. Our coaches help you set realistic targets and actually hit them.

Flexible Schedule

Life's busy. We get it. Meetups happen at different times, programs run year-round, and you can join whenever you're ready. No commitments that don't work for you.

Why This Matters

furzeway.org LLC exists because we believe running isn't about age. It's about commitment. It's about community. It's about what your body can still do.

1

No Gatekeeping

Every pace is valid. Every distance matters. We're not here to judge whether you're "really" a runner. If you want to run, you belong with us.

2

Proven Expertise

Our trainers have years of experience working with mature athletes. They know the body at 50. They know what works. They know what doesn't.

3

Real Results

We're not selling shortcuts. But we've seen thousands of members complete their first 5K, run their first half-marathon, and discover they're capable of so much more.

4

Accountability Partners

Staying consistent is hard. That's why we've built community around it. Your Parkrun group will notice when you're missing. In the best way.
